by Stacia Stark
The fate of the four kingdoms rests on a razor’s edge as the final confrontation approaches. With Regner orchestrating a campaign of calculated cruelty designed to extinguish the last remnants of hope, the pressure to secure a future for their people becomes an all-consuming burden. Betrayal ripples through their ranks, forcing allies to choose between their loyalties and their conscience, while the cost of victory demands sacrifices that threaten to shatter those who remain.
At the center of this volatile storm, the bond between the protagonists is tested by the crushing weight of impending loss. Their relationship, forged in the fires of conflict and mutual survival, must now withstand the ultimate challenge: navigating a landscape where every move could be their last. As enemies consolidate their power and the line between salvation and ruin blurs, they must rely on their unwavering devotion to one another to survive.
In a world where love is a liability and grief is an inevitability, they must decide if they are willing to pay the final price for a lasting peace. As the war reaches its zenith, the choice is simple but devastating: kill or be destroyed.

"Stacia Stark's *A Queen This Fierce and Deadly* is a mesmerizing addition to her fantasy series, delivering a story brimming with emotion, tension, and breathtaking stakes. This novel excels in weaving together themes of love, war, and identity, creating a tale that is both heart-wrenching and exhilarating. The book's foundation is built upon several powerful tropes, including forced proximity and a slow-burn romance that simmers beneath the surface of a world at war. Stark's deft handling of these elements ensures that the story remains engaging and deeply emotional, as the characters navigate the complexities of their relationships while facing external threats. Central to the narrative is the concept of found family, which adds warmth and depth to the characters' interactions. As they battle grief and confront hidden identities, the bonds they forge become a source of strength and resilience. The inclusion of fated mates adds a layer of destiny and inevitability to the romance, intensifying the connection between the protagonists. Stark doesn't shy away from epic battles and the harsh realities of war, which are portrayed with vivid detail and gripping intensity. These scenes are balanced by moments of spice and tenderness, ensuring that the romance remains a focal point amidst the chaos. The journey culminates in a happy ending that feels both earned and satisfying, providing a sense of closure that resonates with the reader. Stark's ability to blend emotion and action, combined with her knack for crafting memorable characters, makes this book a standout in the fantasy genre. *A Queen This Fierce and Deadly* is a testament to Stacia Stark's storytelling prowess, offering a tale that captivates the heart and mind. With its rich narrative and unforgettable characters, this book is a must-read for fans of epic fantasy and slow-burn romance. ["

FrancescaOne of the best in the series
"It’s rare that I like a final installment of a series the most—the last book in a series’ plotline often feels too rushed. But I ended up liking this book better than all of the ones that came prior. I loved getting to spend more time with Asinia and Madinia’s POV chapters—I think Asinia/Demos started off as a “wouldn’t it be wild if these two got together” thought in the earlier books and it genuinely made me so happy to see them get together. After a certain point in the series (i.e. by book two pretty much) I sort of skimmed most of the 🌶️ scenes because I cared more about the rest of the plot, but I thought that the scene between Asinia and Demos was really sweet and a great payoff for the slow burn they had going on. I think Stark is going to be writing more about Madinia’s story too? Which is a major win! I personally liked this series much much more than the ACOTAR books, but I do think it’s telling that my favorite character in SJM’s books is Nesta, and now my fave from this series is Madinia. What can I say, I love vengeful “bitchy” heroines who thrive on rage and avoid their feelings. It’s a mood and I cannot wait to read about her adventures. All in all, a very sweet ending with some super compelling action sequences as well. Stark does not get enough credit for the way that she writes combat—I find it engaging, exciting, and easy to follow, which can be a tough balance to achieve. ["

kchick589In love with this series!
"What a conclusion! I have not read a series in a while that I gave all books 5 stars, but this one hit the mark!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 This was so good, it has found family👨👩👧👦, fated mates❤️,strong FMC characters⚔️, slow burn🔥, amazing side characters, political intrigue👑, plot twists🤯, emotional highs😃 and devastating lows😢. I loved the bond and respect between the FMC and the MMC, he was supportive and protective but yet let her spread her wings and fly. 🪽 The FMC fought through pain, rage, guilt, self doubt and depression to save those she loved and those to weak to fight themselves. Showing that it does not matter how many times you may fall or fail getting back up is what matters most. If you loved Throne of Glass and the Lengends of Thezmarr series you will love this one as well. Highly recommend👌 ["

LizThis book was everything!!!
"Beautiful wrap up to the Kingdom of Lies saga! We got a little more of everything; more plotting, battles, romance, true love. A few things were left open so I am thinking we HAVE to get a spin-off! PLEASE! I was so sad to reach the end.. I just want more! Anyone wanting to read this should really read the series in order; so much is going on that readers would be kind of lost without reading in order. Stacia doesn't waste pages reminding us of what happened in the other books, which I really appreciate! It's one of the many things I love about her writing style. A Queen This Fierce and Deadly gives us a quick recap of the previous book, then starts up right where the last book ended - which was on a major cliff hanger. So good news to all of us who were desperately waiting months to see what happened next, the wait is over!! We did get some major battles, lots of loss. Betrayers were revealed and dealt with. Many characters had a happy ending, though many did not. I'd go into specifics but I don't want to ruin this for anyone! Very clever writing, plus all the plotting, planning, and traveling led us to an epic battle. Stacia's writing paints very vivid images and I felt like I was right there along with Prisca and the rest battling for our freedom. I would recommend this to anyone who loves fantasy, it was so well done! With this final book, The Kingdom of Lies is my absolute favorite fantasy series. And now I will not-so-patiently wait to see if we will get a spin-off series to follow some of the other characters' journeys. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
