About this book

Trapped within the treacherous landscape of the In-Between, Caly finds her existence tethered to two powerful, competing forces: the bonding ceremony she shares with Mendax and the life-saving tether linking her to Aurelius. This unnatural entanglement defies the laws of their world, dictating that one of the three must perish to restore balance. With her mortality hanging in the balance, Caly refuses to accept another loss, yet she is driven by a desperate need to confront her father and uncover the truth about her past.

The stakes escalate as Caly navigates the volatile friction between the Seelie and Unseelie princes, both of whom are determined to protect her while remaining at each other’s throats. As she maneuvers through shifting loyalties and ancient magic, she must manage the men’s possessive intensity and their conflicting desires to be both her savior and her undoing. Caught between a prophecy of sacrifice and the possibility of a future in the Elysian Fields, Caly must outwit the figures governing her fate.

In a realm defined by betrayal and fairy tale peril, she fights to forge her own path before the ticking clock of their shared life forces runs out.

I’m utterly devastated and delighted.

"oh man! where do you even start with a roller coaster like this one!? Book 3 is everything I expected and so much more. Our trio is off on an adventure that the fates have marked the end of the road for one of them. The monsters and trials they meet along the way are as unhinged and horrifyingly glorious as we’ve come to expect from O’Riley. I am salivating for book 4 already, ready for torture, terror, and twists far to twisted to expect. A MUST read series for the dark fantasy romance simps, like me! ["

Amazing!

"To think, I almost didn’t read this one because of how utterly uncomfortable and unsettled THAT scene in the second book left me. So glad my eternally curious mind pushed me right into this one. I consumed the book in a day- could not put it down. It had a little of everything - the banter, the plot twists, the pacing, the anticipation - impossible to look away. The series will unsettle you. Mendax is a tough character to love - the shadows are shadowing hard. It’s difficult to root for him, but you do, even if you feel like you need a shower just for thinking it. You can’t argue that he and Carly are a match made in… well, somewhere. Those 2 are really messed up. Eli kept her balanced, and I can’t wait to see what the next book holds. Till then, I’ll re-read this one 100 times, and work on my criminal cork and yarn board. If that sounds like a good time to you - come on in! ["

Good book but that ending.

"Really enjoyed this book..up until the ending. The way it ended was a little eh.. I hope you get more from Calypso and Mendax in the last book but from the blurb its seems to be Eli's book. ["

Couldn’t put this down

"I devoured this in one day, I legitimately couldn’t put it down. I have to say this is my favorite book of the series, Jeneane’s writing has improved so much since book 1 and this one was just an absolute masterpiece. I’ve cried, I’ve swooned, I’ve kicked me feet like a school girl. Caly has had so much character development through this book, from shoot now ask questions later to starting to see through other people’s eyes and that not everyone is out there to cause her harm. Mendax, oh sweet Mendax. Our murdery man is growing up 🥹 while he’s not outgrown shoot now ask questions later, his unfaltering love for Caly has shown through in this book even more vibrantly than the previous, we get an even deeper look at his heart and how it’s grown three sizes Eli has some interesting character developments through this story but I don’t think he’s done growing yet ["
