Caly has finally reunited with her family, but the peace she craved remains elusive. As she prepares for the ceremony to reclaim the second half of her heart and secure her standing in the Seelie Court, she faces an unsettling reality: becoming whole requires a marriage to Prince Aurelius. While she attempts to embrace her new life, the memory of her time with the Unseelie Prince, Malum Mendax, refuses to fade.
She is plagued by phantom touches, lingering shadows, and dreams so vivid they blur the line between reality and obsession. Caly remains unaware that these haunting manifestations are far more than mere memories. Malum Mendax has returned, driven by a dark desire to punish those who stole his "pet" and to reclaim what he considers his own.
As the Seelie Court prepares for a royal union, Caly is caught in a dangerous game of shadows, torn between the safety of her kin and the magnetic, terrifying pull of the prince she cannot escape. With the lines between captor and savior dissolving, Caly must decide if the cost of wholeness is worth the price of her freedom, or if she will succumb to the darkness waiting in the wings.

"This book is dark, emotional, and absolutely addicting. What Did You Do? pulls you into a world of trauma, obsession, and morally gray love where nothing feels safe and that’s what makes it so compelling. The tension is thick from the start, and the emotional weight behind the characters makes every interaction feel charged. The romance is intense and consuming, built more on shared damage and survival than softness. It’s not pretty love it’s messy, painful, and complicated, but it feels real within the darkness of the story. The chemistry is heavy, and the connection feels inevitable in the most dangerous way. Some moments are brutal to read, but the story never feels pointless in its darkness. It uses pain to build depth, not just shock value, which made everything hit harder. If you love dark romance, trauma bonding, morally gray characters, and stories that blur the line between love and destruction this one will stay in your head. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5 ⚠️ Heavy trigger warnings ["

Mia MarI really liked the first book, but I’m mixed on this one
"I really enjoyed the book and I found it hard to put down, but the ending was strange and left me a little disappointed. I knew it would end with more to be resolved (this is a 4-book series), but the plot resolution was very disjointed. The hidden truths of the FMC felt inconsistent and were confusing. And the love interests dynamic left me confused and unsatisfied. I loved the dark themes and all the twists and turns, but i would have liked a less flimsy ending. I still recommend it though! ["

"Generally speaking I loathe love triangles, but there is something about Clay, Mendax and Eli that kept me intrigued. I think it that the polar opposites between the two, ying and yang, light and dark good versus evil. I was intrigued to find out what would happen after book one, and the story did not disappoint. The plot twists, deception, and character development paint such a unique story. While the writing and plot does leave something to be desired, and while the FMC constantly aggravates me, there is something unique about this story that keeps pulling me in. ["

"Okay, not sure why this book is rated so low on GR because I flipping loved it. Yes, I know I am here for the story. Honestly I got lost in this book. I put my headphones on to listen to the audiobook, and picked up my physical copy to read along then next thing I know its 2:30am. Was I irritated a lot with the MMCs? Oh yeah. I was wanting to scream at them to quit having measuring contests, and actually focus. But on the flip side some of the tension had entertaining results 😉. I am a Mendax fan. Sorry Eli, it is what it is. Honestly at this point I wont be mad if it becomes a why choose. Actually Im wishing for a why choose. Why? Because Im convinced this would solve all the worlds problems (if women had multiple men in love with them, and sharing her). Im actually being serious. Anyways, there is some spice but it’s mostly tension. Also lots of spicy language. Book is exciting, and actiony. It is a dark romantasy so check your TWs ffs! This Dark Fantasy Romance is book 2 in the Infatuated Fae series. Due to this being dark make sure to check all your trigger warnings before reading. The romance in this book is a forbidden romance. This book is spicy, and the spice is descriptive. The book moves at a steady pace following Caly as she is reunited with her best friend Eli after completing her required task. Things are not turning out the way she expected, and she swears she feels eyes on her. The eyes she swears she feels is impossible though, because he is supposed to be dead. This is a steamy, angsty, and exciting romantasy. ["
