"This was a really enjoyable trilogy, well written and engaging! My gripes were these: 1) why do authors keeping writing literal children (22 yos are basically babies) who end up with 700 yo magical beings. Like why couldn’t she have been at least 150? She was so immature at places throughout the books in really annoying ways too 2) spoiler, skip if you haven’t read yet, why did bronwen have to die. She was the real mvp in my mind. She literally waited hundreds of years to free her mate and his people and then she is made out to be the bad guy when she has to manipulate people who don’t listen to her. This one seemed really unfair to me by the author, I feel like the author didn’t respect this character and her sacrifice enough. Honestly almost made me give the book 4 starts instead of 5. 3) the magical and world building could have used slightly more fleshing out in my opinion. Otherwise I look forward to future stories. ["

"4⭐️ 2🌶 What an ending! I really liked it. I had some lasting questions, but I hope they'll be answered in the next book. I love who Fallon became in the end. When you compare who she was at the start of book 1, it's an amazing transformation. I love how she kept her optimism. She was a little too naive in the beginning. I loved seeing her growth. I love how devoted Fallon and Lore were to each other and their people. This book was a little slower than I wanted, but it is high fantasy so it's to be expected. I was hoping to see more of them actually putting the kingdom back together. Overall, I really liked it. ["

"House of Striking Oaths is the third book in The Kingdom of Crows series. Our poor Fallon has been used and betrayed by so many...I was ready for her to serve a nice dose of vengeance. Is Fallon truly the Curse Breaker? Will the curse be broken in time? What I love about this series: The world building: I was completely captivated by this world- the mythology, prophecies,and magical aspects. The author expertly infused detailed descriptions of the customs (including the mating bond) and even languages of the kingdoms (hello, Lucin and Crow glossary!). The characters: I love how multidimensional each character was. While each had certain personalities and traits on the surface, they also had rich histories, secrets, and ulterior motives. They bantered, made mistakes, and were so entertaining. Fallon’s journey was an arduous one - she grew from a shy, docile barmaid to petulant/reluctant accomplice to badass Queen. Lore is honestly my first and only bird book boyfriend. While he's a "burn the world for her" type of male, he's also a dedicated and just ruler to his people. Also, who knew crows were romantics at heart? Fallon's family drama is a lot to unpack and so much is revealed in this book. ______________ This book addresses many unanswered questions from the first two and kept me on the edge of my seat, reeling at times, and very satisfied at the end (hopefully not a spoiler, right?). There is also a bonus epilogue available that nicely leads us into the next installment of this series and I can't wait to revisit this world again. "My feelings are extremely mixed with this final installment in Lore and Fallon’s story. In an effort to keep this spoiler free, I’m not going to do a synopsis and I’m going to just dump my feelings (vibes only and vague plot) here. 1. On one hand, praise be! Fallon wasn’t annoying and I actually enjoyed her. She was spunky and brave and while she still made a lot of decisions with her heart, it was endearing and seemed tempered with some wisdom and caution. On the other hand, was she even the same person? Her transformation happened so quickly between the books. 2. Lore’s shine seemed to have dulled in this book - he was still protective, possessive and sexy but it was all muted and overwhelmed with this intense, irrational jealousy. I still like him but less? 3. If I pretend that this was its own story and not a part of the series, I did enjoy Fallon’s bravery and her mission. Sadly, I also felt like it lasted too long. There were so many twists and turns and the problems felt never ending and I lost stamina. 4. I loved that we finally got some answers but it felt like I was trying to drink from a fire hose. SO MUCH information. 5. What was that ending? Without giving anything away, it felt very much like it was all about setting up her spin off book and less about leaving us all happy and glowy for Lore and Fallon. I was just disappointed. Overall, this book was fine. I think maybe the series just wasn’t for me and I really wanted it to be. I really liked the premise, the shifters, the magic and world building and I kept waiting to love it but it just fell flat. ["
