Filthy Rich Fae
Geneva Lee
by Geneva Lee
Cate, a trauma nurse accustomed to the grit of human suffering, finds her life irrevocably altered when she is dragged into the lethal underbelly of the fae world. Her survival hinges on a treacherous bargain with Lachlan Gage, the ruthless prince of New Orleans’ Nether Court. As a powerful, shadowed figure, Lachlan offers her a fragile sanctuary, but his protection comes at a price that blurs the line between salvation and possession.
In a realm where beauty is a weapon and desire is a trap, Cate is thrust into the center of a brewing war between rival fae courts. As the terrifying Wild Hunt closes in and a rival prince plots to claim her, Cate discovers that her own history may be tied to the ancient, corrupting magic rising in the darkness. Her connection to Lachlan deepens into an volatile, forbidden romance that defies the brutal politics of their world.
With enemies closing in from every side, Cate must decide if the prince who holds her contract is her greatest threat or her only hope. In the high-stakes game of the fae, loyalty is rare, and the cost of losing is everything.

EscapeThroughABookAliGreat book! As expected!
"So I absolutely LOVED book 1 (it actually was my favorite read last year), and I love this book too. It was a little bit slower paced for me. It just hung in a few spots for too long, without any real progress or information being given. Which is the only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of 5. The books plot, and story is great. Which didn’t surprise me. The author is amazing. I love the romance building, and I love how the book ended! Lach, and Cate are amazing. There are some times in the book I was screaming at them to work their stuff out, and get over the miscommunication. I really hate miscommunication. I know it’s vital to every romance, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to scream each time it happens in books. I really love how the story is getting more complicated. I am a sucker for complicated Romantasys. I do kind of wish that we had learned more than we did in this book, but it is what it is. I did listen to the audiobook while reading my physical copy. It is done very well. Recommend doing either or. Or both. Immersive reading really is a great experience. This Fantasy Romance is book 2 in the Filthy Rich Fae series. The Romance in this book is a Pre established bond from the previous book. There is spice in this book, and its open door. Meaning it’s written in detail. There isn’t a ton of spice, but it is sprinkled through out the book. Cate wants to free Lach from the darkness chasing him, and Lach will do anything to keep Cate safe. He will pay any price, including letting the darkness claim him. Cate knows her mother’s ring is more, but she might be more afraid of the truth. This is an addictive read. ["

kmpEntirely filler & dumb character choices
"I was so excited for this book after reading the first one - and I'm so disappointed with this one. Again, it ends on a cliffhanger so the story can't stand on its own. 2/3 of the book are smart characters making really dumb choices, apparently becoming angsty teenagers and losing all of their adult competencies & intelligence. And for a bunch of multi-century aged beings who rule a fae territory & human city, the Nether Court family seems to either lack the requisite administrative & security resources to govern - or they just decide to constantly ignore/not use their resources for this whole book. Finally, the weirdness of the book's NOLA geographical references was consistently distracting & annoying. I could have ignored the world-building issues, but the characters were so inept, shallow, & frustrating. ["

Destiny Snyder (LostInLiteracy)I'm Going to Need An ETA On Book Three Stat!
"The last chapter of this book had me up out of my seat pacing. That ending was intense and leaving us on another cliff-hanger; someone tag the emotional damage guy and please pass the Ambrosia the monsters in this world are so fond of because what was that! "Fallen Court" hits the ground running right where "Filthy Rich Fae" left us and this plot doesn't let up. The chapters are packed with suspense, tension, banter, political intrigue, romance, scheming monsters (supernatural creatures) and a found family trope that had my heart feelings all the emotions. I didn't think it was possible to love Cate and Lach more but I do, this cast of characters is really special in general but the private moments between these two when they finally let their guard down-- I'm swooning! I loved book one, loved book two even more and can't wait to get my hands on book three! ["
