The Witches of Scotland Romance Series: Byres Road (The Gathering of the Seven Book 1)
Steven P Aitchison
by Tricia O'Malley
Liora flees to the mist-shrouded village of Loren Brae after a public magical blunder leaves her reputation in tatters. Desperate to understand the true nature of her fluctuating powers, she unearths her grandmother’s long-hidden grimoire, only to find that the past holds more mysteries than she ever imagined. Her homecoming is complicated by the arrival of Torin, a stoic, guarded forester whose trust she shattered years ago.
When a miscast spell forces Torin into a state of relentless, unfiltered honesty, the two are thrust into an uneasy alliance. To protect their secrets from the prying eyes of the local villagers, they agree to a fake relationship, but Torin’s inability to lie turns their charade into a harrowing exercise in vulnerability. As the landscape shifts and ancient, malevolent forces stir in the shadows of the Highlands, Liora must confront the reality of her heritage.
Caught between the threat of losing her magic forever and the intensity of a man who can no longer hide his feelings, Liora faces a choice that will redefine her life. Amidst the rugged beauty of Scotland, they must navigate a landscape of enchantment and hard truths to determine if their fractured bond can truly be mended.

"This is absolutely one of the best series. The more we learn about Loren Brae and the Order of Caledonia ,the more I absolutely love it. Each member has added something so unique. Together, they form a formidable group. In this book, we get to meet Liora and Torin. I immediately fell in love with both of them and with Bracken, who is too funny. There is so much laughter and so many emotions. Throw in tension ,danger and unexpected surprises and it all wraps up into the best story. It is one that you don’t want to miss. This was such an absolute treat to read. I was nowhere near ready for it to be over. I highly recommend this series and this book. ["

"This series is soooo good!!!! I will definitely miss it when it's done. I really enjoyed Torin and Liora's story, even after the oops (not telling)!! I laughed out loud too many times!! Then I was getting upset with Zara, Liora's sister, but that turned around and love of family. The magical family is always phenomenal, as always. Tricia O'Malley is truly a gifted author and I can't wait to read Graham and Agnes' story. ["

"I so thoroughly enjoyed this book that I did not want it to end. I loved all the animals going to Thanksgiving that was amazing. I’m always amazed by all the different ideas that she comes up with on all her books. I can’t wait to get up in the morning and read her books. ["

"Wild Scottish Magic by Tricia O'Malley, audiobook in dual narration by Amy Landon and Will Watt, is a Fantasy Paranormal Romance filled with mischief, magic, and mayhem Liora is a witch who can't seem to control her magic, which causes her more trouble than good. Driven away from her village because of a wrong prediction, she was blamed for the end of a well-known couple's breakup, twisted by lies to make the woman look like she was scorned and not at fault for the demise of the relationship. Humiliated, Liora moved away for years and continued to have bad luck, which drove her back to where all her troubles began. Things were looking up when her sister found her a room in a nice cottage to rent with a roommate. It was cute, cozy, and seemed perfect. Until she met the owner, her roommate Torin, who was one of the people from that disaster of a reading that drove her out of the area to begin with. To make matters worse, before her new roommate discovered her, she had, oddly, found her grandmother's Grimoire (a personal book of spells and potions) on one of the shelves of Torin's bookcase and seen her name written on its pages. Curious, as she thumbed through the pages, she decided to try out a little spell. A truth spell that looked simple and innocent. The problem with any spell is that it needs to go somewhere, and when her new roommate walks in, surprised to see the woman who ruined his reputation years ago, he is hit with the spell. As mad as he was at Liora, he cannot lie, and the words that come out of his mouth are not what either of them expects. "It was like I was living in black and white, and you put a box of crayons to color in my empty spaces." Expectations Grumpy x Sunshine Lumberjack x Witch Roommates Forced Proximity Truth Curse gone wrong Misguided Magic Squirrel Familiar A Unicorn! Blind Sister New Found Friends Fates Aligned Old Wounds Reopened Family Discourse Spice A contemporary paranormal romance filled with Scottish lore, magical beasts, and a complicated relationship. It's fast-paced and fun with a bit of sadness. This couple goes through it, and it pulls at the heartstrings. An enjoyable story that includes different representations of people and Scottish culture. ["
