About this book

Brexley has survived the brutal realities of a world defined by starvation and torture, but her greatest challenge lies in the aftermath of betrayal. After being held captive by the enigmatic Fae Lord of Budapest, Killian, she finds her perceptions shifting. What began as a hostile imprisonment evolves into a complex, simmering connection that forces her to question everything she knows about the divide between human and Fae.

Just as Brexley begins to navigate this fragile alliance, an unexpected reappearance shatters her stability, plunging her into a treacherous web of political maneuvering and lethal secrets. Warwick Farkas, the legendary figure who haunts her every thought, remains an looming presence, leaving her trapped between warring factions. With the lines between hero and villain irrevocably blurred, Brexley is forced onto the run.

Hunted by both sides and unsure of who to trust, she must unravel a labyrinth of lies before she is consumed by the savage forces of the wild lands. In a world where desire and deception are equally fatal, Brexley must decide if she will be a victim of her circumstances or the architect of her own survival.

MASTERPIECE CONTINUES! SOOOOOO GOOOD🙌🏻!

"I just finished reading ‘Wild Lands,’ Savage Lands Book 2, by Stacey Marie Brown and like WOW 😲 WOW 😲 WOW 😲!! HOW is it POSSIBLE that this may be EVEN BETTER than the first book 🤯🤯🤯?!!! (FYI, I’m not affiliated with the author, not in the book biz, reading is just a HOBBY, and I’m just a regular reader that is super passionate 💗 about spreading the word on GREAT books!) There are NO spoilers! First off! This book is AMAZING 🤩🤩🤩! It continued RIGHT where Book 1 ended (and what a DOOZIE 😫 that was 😂!!!) And like… the momentum just kept on going 🏃🏻‍♀️! I was SO surprised with this book 👏🏻! OK, I had heard GREAT things … but still 😆! It’s super tough for a second book in a series to keep up with the first book (at least I think so 😜.) And this one DEFINITELY kept up with it and then some 🥳🥳🥳!!! There was SO MUCH ACTION 🤺 in this book! Seriously, as SOON as we started settling in to whatever was going on… BOOM 💥 (no pun intended 😅) …. and BAM 💥 (no pun intended 😅) … we are catapulted into something else 😱! The plotline was just SOOOOO GOOOOOOD….. so many questions answered 👏🏻! I did not expect that 😲! With all the mystery 🔎 in the first book, I really thought book two would continue with that theme to leave us in the dark 😞! But seriously, this author KNOWS how to do us RIGHT 💪🏻 because she answered JUST enough questions (and of course gave us a few more 😆) that we are SO satisfied and SO intrigued ALL at the same time 🙌🏻! I really can’t say enough about the plotline in this book 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻… I was on pins and needles 🪡 sooooo many times!! I just got SUCKED into this story and I couldn’t wait to find out what happened next! 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻 And there was GREAT 🤩 DRAMA 🎭 . I LOVE ❤️ LOVE ❤️ LOVE ❤️ DRAMA (in a book!! … eh, not so much in real life 😅,) annnnnnd this book was saturated with DRAMA that I DID NOT EXPECT TO ACTUALLY HAPPEN 🙌🏻👏🏻👊🏻! Like I KNEW at SOME point some of this would happen 😬, but I was so pleasantly surprised to get some of it fulfilled earlier on than later … and done soooo perfectly 👌🏻! (Here’s looking 👀 at you Mr. “I have NO Brass Cojones to take a REAL STANCE & am trying to have my cake 🎂 & eat it too” and Ms. “Well I don’t deserve no crap, so whatev... cuz I’m bada$s 👊🏻!”) …. Urg, it’s SUPER hard to write a review with no spoilers on a second book, btw 😂!…. But basically, yeah, we get a LONG AWAITED moment and it’s so freaking good 👍🏻👏🏻!! AMAZEBALLS 🙌🏻! And I was SERIOUSLY worried 😧 for a hot second our girl was going to be super stupid 😒 during a certain Q&A and this author… mannnn, she treats us SO GOOD 👏🏻! There’s always that chance we could get super upset 😡 with our girl … yes.. but praise the book gods this author KNOWS this girl so well (and us so well) and does us both a SOLID ⭐️. The character development is FANTASTIC! I am seriously IN LOVE 😍 with this FMC. She’s AMAZING 🤩! And not only that, but there are new characters!!! Yessssssssss 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 so great! And I’m totally, TOTALLY a fan now of a certain brownie and imp 🥳! They are FABULOUSL! Pasties, bum plug headbands, and all! 🤣🤣🤣 But let’s get to what you have been WAITING FOR!!!! He is BIG 🙌🏻! He is DANGEROUS 🗡! He is MOODY 😒! He has us OBSESSED ❤️‍🔥 and PISSED 🤬 at the same time 🤣🤣🤣! And GOOD news 👆🏻… he is JUST AS SMOKIN 🥵 NOW as he was BEFORE 🙌🏻👏🏻🙌🏻! If you are a fan (which umm yeah, I’m sure you are 😂,) have NO fear!! You will be HAPPY with this book 🙌🏻! That is all I can say!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Honestly, this author blew me away 🤯🤯🤯 with the first book and she has done it again with the second book 🥳🥳🥳! So many twists 🌪 and turns ⤵️, so much action 🤺, a super duper cool 😎 plotline unfolding, awesome romantic ❤️‍🔥 tension & heat 🔥, and tons of unpredictability! Which is my FAV 👏🏻! If a series keeps me guessing 🤔, that is the highest compliment I can give an author 🙌🏻! I’ve read soooooooo many UFs, PRNs, and Romance Fantasies and it is quite a feat to keep me guessing!! And this gal did it for TWO BOOKs straight, not just the FIRST book!!! And from what I hear… each book gets better 🏆 and better 🏆! AND I CANNOT WAIT TO READ THEM 👏🏻👊🏻🙌🏻! I’m seriously having a tough time stopping to write the reviews between each book because… I JUST WANT MORE! 😆😆😆 If you haven’t read my spoiler free emoji review of Savage Lands, you may want to check it out if this hasn’t convinced you to give the series a shot 😂! Again, just a regular reader…. but I post these reviews all over FB, so if you are reading this somewhere on FB, chances are if you search my name you will find the review for the first book! This series is QUICKLY becoming one of my allllll time favs…. annnnnd it’s SERIOUSLY a contender for that TOP 🏆 spot right now! Which I swore, I’d never say that because ANYONE who knows me… knows MY ALL TIME FAV SERIES! 😂😂😂 (But like, THAT IS HOW GOOD THIS SERIES IS 🙌🏻!!!) So what are you waiting for? Give it a shot! TRUST ME on this one.... IT IS PERFECTION 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻! ‘Wild Lands,’ Savage Lands Book 2, by Stacey Marie Brown ["

More of everything (except motorcycle escapes!)

"You did us dirty, SMB. And not particularly in the way that we like. The good news is that if you read the first book in the series, Savage Lands, there won’t be many spoilers within this review. The bad news is that, while the depth of our knowledge about this world has increased, the breadth of it has not. Also, Brexley and Warwick are still not together in a meaningful sense, and I’m just going to freak out if we don’t get more traction there. I digress. Once again, we’re brought into a post-apocalyptic world, where humans and fae vie to control the magic and resources of what (seems to be) a dying world. Brexley is a captive still, this time of the Fae lord Killian, who is also quite drawn to her, as is now par for the course with dear Brex. ~spoilers ahead~ Brexley is dramatically freed (plus explosions, again) from the fae prison by… Warwick… then brought to the human compound. She wants to fit in with her old life (ish), but simply does not, as she’s given the opportunity to jump right back into the world where she left off, and nothing feels right about it. Oh also, every time she tries to hook up with her old flame, she sees Warwick instead. I mean… same girl. Same. Finding this out, as well as the fact that she’s not quite human, she is yet AGAIN freed by dramatic explosion from the humans, and brought AGAIN by Warwick to ANOTHER secret location, where a figure from her past is still alive, but holds no more keys to who she is. If you didn’t get enough of Brexley and Warwick on a motorcycle in the first book, this book is really what you’re looking for. Her chrome knight comes to the rescue for a third (yes, THIRD) time when the rebel hideout is attacked by HDF forces, and Brexley and Warwick go to a safe space where they can heal. Their connection is revealed to be mind-bogglingly odd, and then we leave the book. They still don’t get it on. Despite being able to without being in the same room, apparently. This brings me to what I needed from the book. I really enjoyed the first book, and the surprising motion and twisting storyline the brought Brex from HDF princess to badass inmate escapee was awesome. This book, I feel like, spent way too much time on… just things, I suppose. Building up some backstory. Providing social commentary. Describing how hot Warwick is. I needed more motion, that didn’t involve explosions and Warwick whisking Brexley somewhere. I do think that there’s some really interesting, thought-provoking pieces here. I noticed that, through this series, there’s some comments on priveledge, that I almost want to see resolved in some form or another. It’s clear that Brexley has suffered in her life: both her parents are dead, and she grew up under a fairly oppressive human regime. However, we are continually reminded that, while Brexley is the product of a broken life, it could have been worse. I’m thinking specifically of Birdie, who points out that while Brexley did grow up an orphan, she was also safe and fed. It calls to mind the difference between Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and Blooms Taxonomy of thinking. There’s a saying in education… you can’t get to Blooms (meaning, high-level functioning and intellectual reflection) before you take care of Maslow’s, and I’m intrigued at Brown bringing this into this dystopian world. I also noted that, while it’s clear humans are not the “good guys”, it almost seems like the thing that grounds them, their humanity, is nothing other than oppression itself. In the next book, I need some answers. A well placed infodump would just really do it for me. I also need for Brexley and Warwick to move into something else. I need to know the thing that binds them together, and what’s more, I need to like it. So far, they’re just really sexy and mean to each other, which DEFINITELY works for me, but I want them to fall in love with each other. Or at least like each other. “Barely tolerates each other” is not working for me anymore. I genuinely also love how Brexley has grown. She’s becoming my favorite type of PNR heroine, and I can’t wait to see what she does next. Overall, the book was good. I needed more from it, but I’d like to see the pathways that have come out of this book lead somewhere awesome. Also, just a few fewer Brexley and Warwick motorcycle scenes would be fine. ["

This book is 🔥.

"I promised myself that I would not stay up all night and read this book as soon as the release came through. That promise lasted approximately 2.5 minutes after starting it. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ I knew I was not going to be able to put it down, and man, what a ride! Here’s the deal: I read some authors because they can tell a helluva story, but the characters are formulaic, and I read some authors because their characters are life, but the storyline is fluff. These type of books pass the time while I wait on books like Savage Lands. SMB just gets better and better. I’ve been sucked into this world so deeply that the term “book hangover “ does not do my mood justice. I’m legit in mourning today. I’m having book DTs, and I can’t freaking function. Wild Lands hits the ground running, and does not slow down for even a moment. You know what that means though... freaking cliffhanger. My one issue with book series these days is that the lack of conflict resolution at the end of each installment makes it really difficult to review. Was the book engaging, absolutely! The plot and storyline are ever evolving and SMB has done an exceptional job of intertwining world-building, characterization, action, and plot development, and then sprinkling in all new questions as some are answered. Each character is woven into this beautiful verbal tapestry that continues to develop and gain depth as the story evolves. It is incredibly uncommon for me - as a reader - to feel engaged with every character on some level. Most often secondary characters fall flat, but not here. Whether you love them (looking at you, Brexley), you hate them (your turn, Istvan), or you’re waffling on how you feel about them (sorry Warwick, you’re kinda a POS so far), you’re engaged. You feel, and you feel strongly about them. If you like UF, dark PNR, with slow-building steam with tons of smexual tension, and strong, positive female MCs - Read. This. Series. **Trigger warning: there is some explicit OW drama in this that I could’ve definitely lived without. ["

Absolutely addicting!

"Holy, wow. I did not think that it was possible to love this book even more than the first, but it is. I am now officially 100% obsessed with this series. Wild Lands gets even more insane than Savage Lands, and I'm thinking that is just going to be a theme with this series, with each one being even more intense than the last. These books have managed to make their way onto my favorites of all time list. I absolutely love Stacey's writing, and this world that she has created is so intense and unique. When reading these I am completely consumed by the story and it is all that exists for that time period. Books that can still manage to completely get me out of my own head/reality like this are rare and I cherish every single moment. Wild Lands had me on edge the whole time. The action never seems to end, and as someone who has a short attention span and needs things to always be happening that keep me hooked, this was fantastic for me. As anxious as this story is making me I absolutely love it. While we move further through the mysteries and some things are revealed its only enough to keep you flipping pages as fast as possible to find out what the world is happening next. Also, the tension between Brexley and Warwick is the best kind of tension! If you are a fan of that slow burn that has the most amazing love/hate tension, you'll love these two. This is one of the best dark dystopian/fantasy series I have ever read. The only other book series that I can say gives kind of the the same vibes, but not stories or characters, is the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning. If you loved that series, then you need to give this one a try. Absolutely addicting. That's all I got. ["
