"I initially wrote a review and now this is my updated one. Having read The complete book I can honestly say that I was excited to get home and have time to read. Yes this book does have multiple perspectives and we don't mainly get the protagonist perspective, but it's well executed and well placed. You get snippets of scenes at the end or in the middle of a chapter of someone sitting in a tavern or a conversation that we're not supposed to overhear. It's just another way to tell a story and honestly it's not seen a whole lot in Danmei. The characters are adorable, and even though there's not a whole lot of romance between them, the affection they have for each other is believable and understood. I've already pre-ordered book 2, and I hope it's actually a three book series. ["

Usually when you read a book it's from our MC's perspective or at least super close but this story felt like it's from everyone else around the main characters prospective. Also I wouldn't mind the other perspectives so much if I didn't find the MC Villain so funny and interesting. I felt like I only get a taste of his perspective which pulls me in for a moment then I'm back to audience member 3's viewpoint. I still love the story I'm really hoping book two is more from our Villain's point of view and less everyone elses. ["
