The Library of Amorlin: Deluxe Limited Edition (The Age of Beasts)
Kalyn Josephson
by Piper CJ
Marlow stands at the precipice of ruin, transformed from a pawn of destiny into the unexpected catalyst for the apocalypse. Having severed her ties with the divine, she officially declares herself an enemy of Heaven, forced to navigate a fractured reality where the lines between ancient mythology and modern survival blur. As the end times loom, she must rally an unlikely coalition of allies across shifting realms and volatile pantheons to mount a final stand.
At the heart of the chaos is the friction of impossible choices and shattered trust. Marlow is caught in a precarious dance with the powerful figures surrounding her, where the intensity of her romantic entanglements is matched only by the lethal nature of her enemies. With the fate of every world balanced on a knife’s edge, she must discern who truly stands with her and who is waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
As she prepares to tear down the established order, Marlow discovers that the most potent weapon in her arsenal may be the raw, unchecked power of human belief. In this high-stakes urban fantasy, she fights to reclaim her agency, even if the cost of salvation is the destruction of everything she once knew.
Lindsey MillerFantastic 3rd book
"It's Piper CJ so not shocking that this book was amazing!! Great 3rd book continuation in the No Other Gods series. So much more drama and story development in this book. Sitting on the edge of my seat and can't wait til 2027 for book 4 in the series but also going to grab the prequel in June 2026 to hold me over til then ["

TrishaGreat Third Installment, but Marlow needs new friends
"ALC Review from Tantor I still LOVE this series--it's absolutely ridiculous and insane, and everyone is awful and also great. We start off with a bang (literally) and it literally does not slow down. This DOES have a lot of characters involved, and a lot happening all at once WITH that full cast, so it can feel overwhelming with a lot to keep track of. I definitely recommend a Fox and the Falcon reread before starting this one if it's been awhile. I really loved the narration of this-- even at 2x speed, Luna sounds fantastic and does an incredible job making characters sound different from each other, adding emotion, and really selling the story. Honestly, I think she does the story more justice then a full cast audiobook would. Definitely recommend it if you're a listener! Marlow is still going through it after, you know, setting off the apocalypse. As one does--oops. But lord, she needs to take a beat and evaluate her friends and relationships! I love Kirby so much--best reaction to finding angels and demons exist I have ever seen. But I guess at this point, anything flies. And the gods/mythological beings doing drugs? Tickles me every single time. It will not stop being funny to me. Medusa calling men trash? Absolute understatement. This is such a fun installment and I'm SO invested in how book four plays out. Especially with Caliban, because he is on THIN ICE with me in terms of a "he deserves her in any lifetime" type of love. ["

J101Meh...
"This was ok but... I really feel as though Marlow's character development really stalled out very early (chapter 3-ish?) making the last half a slog. I get her lack of understanding about some things but COME ON... she's a researcher and writer on the pantheons so I would have expected her to start putting the pieces together a whole lot sooner! I doubt I'll bother with book 4. ["
