Mistakenly Saving the Villain (Novel) Vol. 1 (Special Edition)
Feng Yu Nie
by Rou Bao Bu Chi Rou
In the aftermath of two lifetimes defined by tragedy and misunderstanding, Mo Ran and Chu Wanning finally stand on the precipice of a genuine future. Mo Ran is resolute in his mission to prove his newfound devotion to his Shizun, hoping to rewrite the scars of the past. However, the shadow of old attachments lingers, and Chu Wanning struggles to reconcile his teacher-student history with the intense, volatile emotions of the man before him.
Their fragile reconciliation is abruptly tested by the resurgence of a dangerous enemy. As the cultivation realm mobilizes to hunt down the elusive Xu Shuanglin, the stakes shift from personal grievances to the survival of the world itself. Mo Ran soon realizes that the chaos unfolding is merely a distraction orchestrated by an unseen, far more treacherous mastermind.
With the lines between friend and foe blurring, the pair must learn to trust one another completely to survive the machinations of their true adversary. As secrets unravel and the storm gathers, Mo Ran and Chu Wanning are forced to decide if their bond is strong enough to withstand the machinations of a villain who has been pulling the strings from the very beginning.
Anon YmousNo printing errors, but the paper quality did decline. Good series though!
"So I actually just came here to grab a pic of the cover to show someone, and I don't have the emotional wherewithal to write a full review right now, but I am -loving- this series, and I very much enjoyed this volume. One of the spicier ones! If you liked the rest, this one is good times. But the reason I'm actually leaving a review now is because I noticed some people were concerned about the redacted portions in the credits that look like someone took a marker to the page or that they're a printing error. That's not a printing error; those pages are meant to be humorous, and this is the author making a joke. Read the italicized text and the actual content of the page and you'll see it's just Meatbun being silly and having a giggle. I had a moment, too, when I saw them, but that's how they're supposed to be, and it is actually cute imo. However, somebody also mentioned about the paper quality and I can chime in here. I compared this volume with my copy of Erha vol 1, but also one of the older Yuwu volumes. Usually you -can- see a bit of the text through the images, but it does feel like that is more pronounced in this recent printing, so I checked further. Looked at alongside the new release of Ballad of Sword and Wine vol 2 as well as Pet Fish 2, they're comparable; this is a more recent paper quality trend, rather than a single odd batch. Erha 6, Fish 2, and BS&W 2 were released within a month of each other, though. Pulling out Thousand Autumns 1, the difference is pretty noticeable. I hope they go back to the thicker paper. While the bleed doesn't really interrupt my enjoyment too much, it's just not as nice, and I buy these physical volumes to enjoy them in that format; this needlessly diminishes the experience when I'm already willing to pay extra for a printed copy. KerrieA wild ride, cover to cover!
"I love this series, but OMG volume 6 is sososososo good! It begins the morning following the end of book 5, & immediately begins the aftermath of the confession of feelings. From there on, there are so many heart-moving moments, cute moments, then the most amazing smut & dumb-assery (is that a word ?) that only Mo-Ran could provide! This book was so satisfying, I wasn’t even sad when it ended! Now I’m only wishing I didn’t need to wait so long for the next/last volume! ❤️❤️❤️ ["
