Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation: Mo Dao Zu Shi (Deluxe Hardcover Novel) Vol. 1
Mo Xiang Tong Xiu
by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu
In the climactic conclusion to an epic journey spanning centuries, Xie Lian, the thrice-ascended yet perpetually unlucky crown prince, faces the ultimate reckoning. The enigmatic entity known as White No-Face has finally unmasked, revealing a haunting connection to Xie Lian’s past that threatens to dismantle everything he holds dear. Trapped within the treacherous, lava-scarred depths of Mount Tonglu, the prince must confront a malevolent force fueled by centuries of festering resentment and divine tragedy.
He does not face this darkness in isolation. Beside him stands Hua Cheng, the formidable Ghost King whose unwavering devotion has defined his existence for eight hundred years. With their bond now fully realized and their feelings laid bare, the stakes of the conflict shift from mere survival to the preservation of their shared future.
As the final battle erupts, Xie Lian must reconcile his fractured history with his present reality to overcome an adversary who knows his every weakness. This volume brings the sprawling tale of gods, ghosts, and destiny to its long-awaited resolution, proving that even in the face of inevitable destruction, the most powerful force remains the unshakable loyalty between a fallen god and the ghost who worships him.

"I saw a review somewhere that was dissatisfied with how much of this volume is arc 5 verses extras. By my count roughly 50% of the story is arc 5, which is a decent number of pages to finish off the main story. The extras are awesome bonus stories that function like epilogues - giving insight into Xie Lian’s married life with Hua Cheng. I wouldn’t have minded some more “heat” in the story, but I respect the author’s choice to stick to kissing and innuendo. This is a very romantic tale of true love that stands the test of time. There are moments when people imply that Hua Cheng is like a stalker - and he’s obviously worried that Xie Lian will think so too - but he never crosses that line. He is constantly self-sacrificing and basically unselfish in his love. He’s jealous, but controls that jealousy, especially when asked to by Xie Lian. There’s a belief that real love asks nothing in return - that the object of love owes nothing to the lover. I didn’t understand this when I was young, but it’s true. Hua Cheng understands it, but a stalker wouldn’t, so he’s definitely not a creepy stalker. The cave of 10,000 gods is more like the work of a biographer. :-) ["

CadenceSO EXCITED TO READ
"I’m still on book 3, but I wanted to complete the series. It came in good condition, and the artwork inside is beautiful. Other reviews stated it was a special edition, but I didn’t get any extras and it didn’t say special edition on the back so I’m not sure if they just aren’t selling it anymore or what but I’m not too mad about it. I LOVE the extras and will be annotating once I get my grimy little hands on it. I will be buying the hardcover at some point but for now I get to enjoy my beautiful husbands❤️ ["

"Literally I LOVE TGCF. The bonus stuff that came are super cute, nothing was damaged. For ppl who like BL but don’t wanna see/read something super explicit(like me), i definitely recommend this series. Yeah it has one sus part(the coffin scene) and some references, but its overall pretty clean for explicit things. ["

"The amazing conclusion to the series. It includes some bonus chapters at the end that are about the characters after the events of the story are over, and really help it feel complete and made me smile so much. It was great to read about the characters being happy after all the drama and hardships they had to go through. ["
