About this book

With the King of Darkness dead, the kingdom of Rathe teeters on the brink of collapse. A suffocating shadow descends upon the streets, and every threat traces back to one woman: London Crow. For her counterpart, the revelation of London’s true nature ignites a volatile cocktail of burning hatred and an obsessive, desperate need he cannot suppress.

Their connection is a dangerous, forbidden bond that defies the fates, yet his previous cruelty has shattered London, leaving her far beyond the reach of simple apologies. As the darkness grows, the necessity of their partnership becomes absolute. To restore balance to the realm, he must bridge the chasm he created, even if it means forcing a reconciliation she is no longer willing to grant.

He is a man accustomed to taking what he desires, but he soon realizes that winning back a broken heart is a far more treacherous pursuit than conquering a kingdom. Locked in a lethal dance of retribution and magnetic pull, they must navigate a landscape of crumbling power and shifting loyalties. In a world where the stakes are life and death, they must decide if their destructive history is a bridge to salvation or the final catalyst for their ruin.

This deserves every star out in existence!!

"This series is honestly one of the best! It’s not a super long read, but every second invested in the story is well worth it! London/Villaina is everything you want in a heroine. Her journey was a rough one and her pain was felt on every level for the reader, but it helped her grow to be the queen she was meant to be! Knight deserved the pain he felt, not going to lie on that. But he did earn some forgiveness when he made a very unselfish decision that changed everything! The curveball that was thrown in this book was extremely unexpected. It would have been nice to have a better explanation on the how, why, and where of it all. I can say that the story was so good and distracting enough I had almost forgot about it until now that I’m writing the review. Still, these two authors came together and made a masterpiece! Such a great story! I loved every bit of it! ["

The perfect ending for London & Knight! 🤍

"*4.5 Stars* Ok, I was a little nervous going in for one because I knew after finishing Fate of a Royal that this would be the book that determined if I was going to stick with the series or not! My biggest issue thus far has been the lack of world building but I think it might just be because neither of the authors have a ton of experience writing in the fantasy genre. However, it seems like I got used to their writing a bit more with this book. We did get little tidbits of information sporadically throughout that were enough to satisfy me but I don’t think regular fantasy readers would feel the same way! 🤣 One thing that took me by surprise was how emotional I got while reading! There were moments where I was swooning so hard I wanted to cry and others that absolutely broke me with emotional sucker punches straight to my heart. I never thought that Knight would be capable of bringing me to tears with his heartfelt declarations and sacrifices for London and her happiness but here we are! 🥹 Don’t get me wrong, from the beginning Knight and London had a lot of stuff to work through and 99% of the time it wasn’t pretty but the journey to their HEA was so worth it! Their banter, tension, and overall obsession with each other were always at the forefront of their interactions and I could not get enough of them! As I was hoping for and also anticipated, there were lots of twists and turns, some that I had gleefully predicted and others that completely took me by surprise! I also really liked how they balanced the story progression with the world expansion in the second half of the book, and the introduction of Haide? Talk about ICONIC! She definitely stole the show in the best way whenever she popped up and I hope that we get lots more of her and her friendship with London! I absolutely loved watching them egg each other on when it came to raising all of the chaos! 😈🙌🏻 And that teaser we got at the end of the book about the next brother’s duet? NOTHING BUT HYPE! I am already so looking forward to his story with his future mate but lemme just say, if there isn’t tons of primal play, imma be so disappointed! 😭 Overall, while the overall world building and magic system could still use some development, if Amo and Meagan are able to keep the same energy that they had for London and Knight’s duet for the rest of the books this is going to be a great series! Absolutely EPIC!

"The epic, and I do mean EPIC, conclusion to London and Knight’s duet was everything I hoped it would be and more. The things we learned in this book were wild, and I was on the edge of my seat reading the entire time. Every part of this book was full of twists and turns that I didn’t see coming, and packed full of jaw dropping moments. There is so much more to London than I ever imagined, and I think I fell in love with her even more in this one. She doesn’t play around, and she’s not afraid to stand her ground. Fate knew exactly what it was doing with Knight and London. Phenomenal, absolutely phenomenal. I already can’t wait to see what’s next in this series! Amo and Meagan are a killer duo, and this paranormal, fantasy romance was PERFECTION! ["

Could be so good…

"First off, I love the characters. But wow was book one and two CONFUSING!!! I looked at the reviews for book one when I started to get lost and go back some pages to re read what happened and then it still didn’t make sense. It was so hard to follow along. I kept going because I hate not finishing, but I almost gave up on this multiple times. I love both of these author’s but whoever edited these two books did a disservice to them. I got to the second book thinking it would be better and literally had to tell myself to keep going and not go back and re read because I wouldn’t understand the second time either. There was so much missing on info…like what actually happened to Temp? I consider myself an advance reader, I don’t understand how book one and two have such high ratings. You just can’t convince me that other people understood these books with no issues. Anyway I could go on, but I think you get the point. ["
