Althea Zoltaire’s quest for vengeance reaches a fever pitch as she tracks Wilder Hawthorne across a world succumbing to shadow. What began as a hunt for justice transforms into a race against history, as long-buried secrets threaten to dismantle the foundations of the midrealms. Forced to confront the possibility that the man she once knew is not the villain she imagined, Thea finds her resolve tested by haunting revelations that blur the line between enemy and ally.
As the darkness deepens, the connection between Thea and Wilder proves as volatile as the magic pulsing through their veins. Their reunion is not merely a clash of steel, but a collision of desire and betrayal that leaves both their hearts and the fate of their world hanging in the balance. Caught between the duty to her people and the magnetic pull of a man she cannot escape, Thea must navigate a treacherous landscape of monsters and shifting loyalties.
In a race against an encroaching apocalypse, she is forced to decide if their bond can survive the truth or if their final encounter will be their undoing. Amidst the ashes of a crumbling kingdom, the ultimate price of destiny is finally revealed.

"⭐ 4/5 stars I COULD NOT put this book down. From start to finish, it had me absolutely hooked. The action, the tension, the constant feeling that something ominous was about to happen… it was a rollercoaster, and I loved every second of it. The stakes in this book? Through. The. Roof. I was on edge the whole time, flipping pages like my life depended on it. Helen shredded my nerves, and honestly, I need someone to check on me before I start the finale because I know she’s going to ruin me. I’ve been a little unsure about Thea and Wilder’s romance in previous books because it felt rushed at first, but this time? It worked. The angst, the tension, the burning chemistry—they had me in a chokehold. My heart hurt for both of them, and I wouldn’t have been so emotionally wrecked if I wasn’t so attached to them as characters. And Wilder? A grumpy, devoted, “I would follow you across realms” warrior? Yeah, sign me up. Also, let’s talk about the "only one horse" trope—DELICIOUS. I don’t care how many times I’ve seen it, it gets me every time, and this might just be one of the best I’ve ever read. Someone douse me in a bucket of water because WOW. One of my favorite things about this book is the found family dynamic. Cal, Kipp, and Thea’s friendship gave me so much life. They were hilarious, heartfelt, and exactly what Thea needed. Even when she was pushing them away, they never gave up on her, and that kind of loyalty hit hard. A certain new character completely caught me off guard, and I LOVED her. Her backstory was fascinating and answered a ton of questions I’ve had since the earlier books. Just when I thought I had things figured out, Helen threw another twist at me like “Haha, you thought”—and I ate it up. The villain reveal? I did not see that coming. And the world-building just keeps getting better. The whole Witcher-style monster hunting and the warriors’ guild? Perfection. The masquerade ball? Incredible. The contrast of light vs. dark magic? SO well done. This book just solidified this series as one of my all-time favorites. The action, the angst, the twists—it all hit so hard. If you love enemies to lovers, found family, forced proximity, masquerade balls, magic with real consequences, and romance so tense it makes you hold your breath, then please do yourself a favor and read this series. You will not regret it. Helen Scheuerer just HITS every single time. *Content warnings: Violence, blood, death, betrayal, explicit scenes ["

Clarissa PhamA fantastic fantasy follow-up.
"Fates & Furies is a satisfying sequel in the third novel of the Legends of Thezmarr series. In Fates & Furies our heroine, embittered Althea, chases her former lover, the fallen warsword Wilder Hawthorne, across the kingdom for his crimes in the previous book. While journeying with her friends she finds out there's more to Wilders betrayal, thrusting very difficult choices Altheas way. This book does the found family trope quite well, the other characters are interesting and unique with fully fleshed out personalities and backgrounds. Thea herself also goes through tremendous character growth that I rarely see in novels these days. This was an excellent novel that keeps up the momentum and pacing of the story quite well. With this book the Legends of Thezmarre series remains a strong romantisy series with lots of romance, action, and a motley crew of characters. ["

freya.nightwolfPERFECTIOOOOOOON!
"PERFECTIOOOOOOON! The whole book was like a rollercoaster. Action at every turn, adrenaline, phenomenal fight scenes, brilliant plot twists, reunions, and secrets that finally unfold. The beginning made me want to beat up Thea really badly. How could she have so little trust in Wilder... I can't understand... and the way she hurt him. She was very lucky that he loves her so much otherwise... I don't think he would have forgiven her. Torj and Kipp had more faith in him!!! At least she had her eyes open, and she saw the truth. I'm starting to like Anya more and more, and I hope she gets her own series too. Torj and Wren are something to dream about. They are like Casian and Nesta :)))) I love them like crazy. Kipp is something else entirely, and he's the soul of this group. I hope nothing happens to him!!!! I can say that the moment they met at the Signing Hare was one of my favorite moments. Seeing them all gathered there, each different in their own way, each with their own past, and yet, united. Also, it was the time for Thea to hear what Wilder kept buried in his heart all this time. The famous Great Rite was spectacular, and I think it was an extremely important moment for Thea, especially in her evolution. She came back from that thing more mature than ever. I'm only now starting to like her :)) Everyone has their own path to follow, so girl... welcome back :))) I also really liked her question, and I think that deep down, she knew that she didn't really want a thousand lifetimes without Wilder. However, I think the Furies gave her something that would overpower that damn fate stone. The ending took me from agony to ecstasy in a few seconds. After I felt rage and fear at the same time, here comes Talemir's spectacular entrance. My hair stood on end with emotion. My, my, what an entrance. I was waiting the whole book for Talemir, and now it's time for the chaos to be unleashed. Good thing it's a complete series, because I've already started the next book :))) ["

Bekswow!
"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 Fate and Furies is book 3 in The Legend of Thezmarr series and is so so much better! I am loving the politics, the character growth, the banter from Thea’s friends Kipp and Cal, the tension! This story picked up a year after we left off with Thea, Kipp and Cal trying to hunt down Wilder, things started to fall apart during that hunt and it led to a lot of revelations and learning that what they thought was true wasn’t. This story is so much more fast paced than the last one and with edge of your seat action. The newer characters we are meeting are fantastic too. Malik is a fantastic character, I love him, though he isn’t in this story much I have loved him the entire series. This book definitely so much more plot and lore getting weaved in. Of course there is a ROUGH cliff hanger. Book 4 will be a RIDE 🫣 ["
